Hey guys!! It's Betsy again. I know I usually will have a guest poster today, but it's only my second day on this blog and I wanna post!!! So obviously this post is about managing homework. I'm home schooled, but I got to a co-op and get home work in this language arts class. Now you might be able to choose when you do your school your parent/guardian assigns you if you home schooled. What my mom does is she gives me this assignment sheet, that says the days of the week, and the subjects and I have a certain amount to do everyday. I finished early today though. So if you have homework you might get it and say " How in the world will I get this done in a week!!!!" or whatever amount of time you have. So here is how I do it :):)
What you will need:
2 sheets of paper
Pen or pencil
your assignments
Binder or folder (optional)
So I will be assigning my Language Arts homework to each day as I do this post. :):) So go gather those supplies!!! Alright I'm back, I just went and got the stuff.
The Steps:
1. So find out your assignments, and write them down on the first sheet of paper. Thankfully this week I didn't have too much to do!!!
2. On your next sheet of paper, write down the days you have to do it. For example I get my assignments Tuesday night, and they are due next Tuesday morning. So I write down: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday ( I leave the weekend free usually, unless I have a ton) You need at least one free day. Draw lines between each day to make a chart
3. Fill in a little bit to do each day. Now if you have to read a lot, then you can read a little bit each day. Here is a tip if you have study questions for your reading that my brother told me about, you can answer the study questions as you read so it won't be as overwhelming at the end. If you have a story or a paragraph or anything written, write it one day then a day or two later, go over it.
Now that you have it all down you are done, except for doing the actual homework part. Here is another idea I have. I'm going to do this too, you can create an area anywhere in the house, preferably a quiet, cozy corner. I could be a chair in your room, a window seat, or even your closet. You can pile some blankets and pillows in an area and make it your homework area. You can use a desk too. You want it to be where there will not be a lot of noise. Now you can create this easy to do little box and keep it in your drawers somewhere and pull it out when it is time to do your homework. You can give yourself a certain time everyday to do homework, like 7;30- 9:30 ish. Now for making the homework box:
What you will need:
Box- like a spacemaker box-
Supplies-listed below-
So you just get a box, and fill it with stuff you need for doing your homework.
Like:
Erasers to put on your pencils
stick erasers
pencils
pens
paper
mini stapler
colored pencils
calculator ( don't cheat!! haha)
rulers
sticky notes
highlighters
pencil sharpeners
tape
glue
index cards
Well there we go :):)
Thanks for letting me ramble-
